Preparatory course for Secondary Art
Did you know that Art is a compulsory and examinable subject at the secondary level?
In fact, it is one of the subjects that contributes to a student's overall marks for streaming at Secondary 2.
As Art is a non-examinable subject at the primary level, much time and effort is devoted on the core subjects. This results in a learning gap in representation, causing many students to find Art at secondary 1 and 2 very difficult and hard to score. From then, sadly, many enthusiastic budding young artists come to believe that they are not good in Art and cannot draw.
In order to help students ease into this transition and affirm their self-esteem, we have designed this Preparatory Course for Secondary Art.
At the end of this course, students will have a good understanding of the secondary art syllabus and also pick up drawing skills and Art theories. In addition, they will plan for an in-house showcase exhibition and present their works to both peers and parents.
